Instead of using willpower or always struggling with yourself, create change in a way that doesn't feel drastic or like you are running into a brick wall. Create easy change and build off of those changes, then the harder ones become easy as well. For example, if you have a goal to eat better, don't go balls to wall, completely cleaning out your kitchen and spending $500 at the the grocery store. Start with one small change...bring my lunch 2 days a week, switch from white bread to wheat, add fresh fruit to my breakfast, reduce to 1 soda a day, or add 16 oz of water. Be successful with that simple change for one week and then make another. Soon you will have made 52 changes and that is amazing!
